About
The Wauwatosa Spartans Football Club was formed in late 2007 by brothers, Luke and Adam Kujath, and became a member of the Ironman Football League (IFL) www.ironmanfootballleague.com.
Almost immediately, the Spartans became a top-tier team in the IFL, making the playoffs every year since inception, winning the AFC Championship in 2009, and again in 2011, and appearing in Iron Bowl XIII and XV.
The team has also played extensively outside the IFL, with much success. In 2008, the Spartans won the prestigious Mid-States Tournament, which resulted in an invite to compete in the National Football Events’ National Bowl Weekend in DeLand, Fla. In 2009, the team came within a score of winning back-to-back Mid-States titles.
Additionally, the Spartans have sent players to the Casino Bowl All-Star Game in Las Vegas, had 11 players named to 2010 AFA All-American team, and routinely dominate the IFL’s AFC All-Star roster selections.
In 2009, the team gained 501(C)3 non-profit status. The Spartans are managed by a board, comprised of current and former players, as well as other volunteers.
As part of its mission, the Spartans make it a priority to partner with other local charities every season to help further their missions - working to incorporate one charity partnership at each home game.
